For the times when you feel unbalanced.
In all honesty, I didn't know what to expect when it came to this ritual, I was going in completely blind. Even though it's meant for balance and transformation, I found that this ritual was almost like a mini clearing and alignment.
Now, each one of the candles is representative of the four elements, so color does matter for this one:
- blue - water
- red - fire
- green - earth
- white - air
As most of you know, instead of candle holders, I prefer to use a large bowl of salt for any ritual that I'm doing that uses candles. If you only have the glass pillar candles, that's completely fine, but the colors and intention do matter. If you're really looking to do this ritual and you have no access to colored candles at all, just make sure that you have four candles - white if possible. The modification I would make is instead of using the colored candles, you can always carve a word into each "fire," "earth," "air," and "water," to make the intention clear.
The whole idea of this, is for you to receive support and clarity from each of the different elements - and this absolutely comes in handy as you view this coming from an Earth-based energy coming in and supporting you during your meditation. During the fifth step when you are allowing yourself to feel present, just take a moment to sink into your sit bones, and feel truly stable before coming out of the ritual and extinguishing the candles.
Take as much time as you need, noticing any points of tension that come up as you feel into your body becoming more and more present.
What you need:
- blue candle
- red candle
- green candle
- white candle
- candle holders for each
- Sit comfortably and light the candles.
- Visualize balanced, healing energy as light growing from the flames as it fills up the space surrounding you.
- For as long as you need, repeat:
"Ocean blue, and fiery red, rain down your energy upon my head. Earth of green and air so pure, your healing force will be my cure."
Allow yourself to feel present and at ease as the elements support you and your space.
Extinguish the candles once finished.
So much gratitude,
